CMF Webinar: How to Build Relationships With Lawmakers and Why It’s Important

June 26, 2019
1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Description via CMF:

It’s a sad fact, but 9 out of 10 Americans are cynical about engaging their lawmakers because they don’t believe their Members of Congress care what they think. Furthermore, building relationships with lawmakers can be difficult, uncomfortable, and even “prickly” – like hugging a porcupine.

This program will challenge cynical perceptions of Congress. It will also help participants overcome their discomfort by revealing methods – proven effective by EXCLUSIVE CMF research – for building relationships with elected officials.

The program will address the following questions:

  • Who do Members of Congress and state legislators listen to?
  • What are the most effective strategies for influencing undecided Members of Congress?
  • How can constituents build relationships with their elected officials?

The webinar will be conducted by Bradford Fitch, President and CEO of CMF, and Seth Turner, Director of Citizen Engagement.
