NCAN invites you to register for our 2016 national conference, Driving Postsecondary Attainment For All, September 19-21. This year’s event will be held in Detroit, Michigan at the Marriott at the Renaissance Center.

Michigan is a terrific conference location for many reasons, not the least of which is the progress the state is making to help more underrepresented students enter and complete higher education. The Michigan College Access Network has led a number of effective college access strategies and inspired community leaders to reach higher, resulting in six straight years of increases in the state’s degree attainment rate. Also fueling Michigan’s growing college-going culture are nearly 50 local college access networks, including the Detroit College Access Network. Additionally, Michigan is home to The Kresge Foundation, host sponsor of the conference and a top national leader in the postsecondary success movement.

Join us in the Motor City to engage with the following confirmed speakers and events:

  • Jaime Casap, Chief Education Evangelist from Google, who will speak about technology, education and innovation.
  • Tonya Allen, President and CEO of the Skillman Foundation, who will talk about Detroit’s efforts to increase educational attainment.
  • Michael Middleton, Interim President of the University of Missouri System, who will address equity and access in higher education.
  • Over 70 60- and 75-minute workshops presented by a diverse group of college access/success organizations from around the country, selected from 270 proposals
  • Leadership sessions specifically geared to the top executives of our constituent organizations.
  • A new fast-paced session format designed to promote thought provoking discussion and sharing.
  • Intensive pre-conference workshops on fundraising, advocacy, career success, and FAFSA completion.

Additional speakers and events will be announced as they are confirmed.
