Mini-Grant Opportunity for NCAN Members

February 2, 2016

NCAN will be offering small one-year grants to member organizations that are interested in being more involved in the Virtual Learning Communities. NCAN currently manages three Virtual Learning Communities (VLCs) – Advisors, Networks and Executive/Program Directors. NCAN is seeking members to co-manage and cultivate these VLCs. Don’t miss this opportunity to become a leader in the NCAN community!

Mini-grants of $1,500 will be offered for the period of one year to six NCAN member organizations to appoint a staff member to act as a VLC Member Liaison – two for each of the three VLCs. Responsibilities of the VLC Member Liaisons are to make one post/week in the VLC, including all necessary follow-up, and to attend periodic (no more than monthly) planning phone calls. The mini-grant will be provided directly to the NCAN member organization, which must agree to provide the time for their staff member to perform the responsibilities of the VLC Member Liaison. Mini-grants will be given on or about March 1 and selected individuals and their organizations must agree to serve in this role through Dec. 31.

Please complete this brief application to be a VLC Member Liaison by Feb. 17. All applicants will be notified by Feb. 26 about the status of their application. Contact Amina Anderson Pringle if you have any questions.
